you’re lying if you say that you’ve never recorded yourself singing because you were sure you were talented, then were so disappointed when you listened to it over that you deleted it and pretended it never happened

Don’t stop chasing.
I think that one of the biggest reason why relationships do not work out in the long run is because at one point, one side (or both) stops trying. Before one claims another person as their significant other, they would do anything to make that person happy. They would chase, they would flirt, they would be charming. They would send daily morning and goodnight texts every time you wake up or go to sleep. They would write corny messages and pick up lines just to make sure that there is a smile upon your face. But once they claim you as theirs, all of those things eventually stop. The 5 page texts slowly turn into 1. The constant calls turn into not calling at all. And the lovely endearments turn into daily arguments. In order for a relationship to work, don’t ever stop chasing. Just because the person you want is now consider “yours”, it does not mean they deserve anything less than the time when you’re trying to win them over.

Stop and appreciate what you have today. Look at what you have with wider eyes, maybe with more compassion and more gratitude for the things that you do have and not the things you don’t have.

Michael Imperioli (via kari-shma)

No one can make you angry, happy,or sad. You always have a choice in how you react to others. You choose what emotion to project on their actions or inaction. You choose from your internal file of experiences on how to react. You can stop and think about a new reaction anytime you want. You can remember that everyone is doing exactly what you are doing, acting and reacting based on the past experiences. Live your life forward. Be conscious of your thoughts, actions, and reactions and you will become immune to the choices of others,or you will be able to find a perspective that prevents you from automatically choosing your default emotions.
